In my role, I often on the phone with clients outside of scheduled meetings. I do not have an easy way to record these calls to help takes notes for me. I could try and quickly open the app and hit record while on the phone but that seems distracting so would love a feature to automatically capture calls for me.

Honest answer: iOS and Android don't let an app record regular cellular calls, automatically or otherwise. What Wave can do is route the call — dial out through Wave, or use the Phone Bridge to pull an ongoing call in — and that's a manual step by design. Auto-record for specific contacts is tracked at /p/automatically-start-wave-for-assigned-contacts. Russell — international call recording (Australia included) isn't supported yet; noted.
