They are stacking up. Even when I put them in folders they still show there and if I delete, it also deletes from the folder location. It’s too cluttered. I saw discussion about being able to filter but see no filter option in my iOS app.

You may want to shift your main page to be "Unsorted" which is All Waves minus any that are in folders.

@Josh Mohrer Josh is "unsorted" view available in the MacOS Wave AI Desktop App? The other version I was using told me to switch to this and I don't see any way to find out what's not sorted.

Filtering is there on iOS now: on the main list, use the filter control and pick "Unsorted" to see only Waves that aren't in any folder — that keeps filing manageable without deleting anything. Folders hold references, so a session showing in All and in its folder is by design; deleting deletes it everywhere.
