Add a "new" Speaker

Sometimes Wave fails to recognize one of the speakers in a meeting and treats two different speakers as one; it would be great if we could add this "new" unrecognized speaker and link them to their specific transcribed remarks. Example: In an in-person meeting with more than two people (like a medical appointment), Wave often confuses my voice with my father's voice and attributes everything he says to me, messing up any generated summary.

You can do this now. Press and hold the line(s) that belong to the other person and choose Split into new speaker…, give them a name, and those remarks move under the new speaker — the summary regenerates to match. On the web it's Select → tick the lines → New speaker → Split; on Desktop, tick the lines and choose Split into new speaker…. Enrolling your own Voice ID also stops the mix-up at the source. help.wave.co/ai-features/editing-summaries-and-transcripts
